FAQs

  • Schedule a 20-minute introduction call or submit the contact form if you have any questions.

  • I suggest calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card.

Here are a few helpful questions to ask your insurance provider about your out-of-network benefits:

-Do I have out-of-network benefits? If so, how much does my policy cover if I see an out-of-network provider?

-Does my current policy have a deductible? What is the amount, how much has been met this year, and when does my policy renew?

-Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

-Will my health insurance reimburse me for 60-minute sessions (CPT 90837) or only 45-minute sessions (CPT 90834)?

-How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?

  • It depends on why you're seeing me and the severity of symptoms. Due to a variety of factors, it can be challenging to estimate the length of treatment for mental health counseling.

For OCD and anxiety, treatment is once or twice per week for about 6-8 months depending on symptom severity and how consistent you are at practicing in between sessions. Our timeline can vary, and we will discuss during the intake appointment and re-assess throughout your treatment.

Good Faith Estimate Notice:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
